As is in the group logo, it symbolizes hearty welcome greetings conveyed by joining of the palms close to the heart, also known as “Vandana.”Inspired by “Work is Worship” values, the group was formed by its Patriarch Shri Niranjanlalji Agrawal more than four decades ago in Raipur,  Chhattisgarh.

After his pioneering efforts, the next generation was led by his sons, Shri. Gopal Prasad Agrawal, Shri Subhash Chandra Agrawal, Shri Vinod Agrawal, Shri Prahlad Agrawal and Shri Ashok Agrawal are now at the helm of affairs. Progressing from manufacturing of steel,power and its value added products, the group has explored forward & backward integration to capture the value chain.

Vandana Vidhyut Ltd currently operates 8 MW Rice Husk based bio-mass power plant at Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh. Driven by our expertise in generating and managing captive power generation assets and exploring the emerging opportunities in power deficit scenario, the Company has signed Memorandum of Understanding with Government of Chhattisgarh and Chhattisgarh State Electricity Board to set up a 660 MW Independent Thermal Power Plant at Korba, Chhattisgarh.
