Existing Plant
Vandana Vidhyut Ltd. currently operates 8MW Rice Husk based bio-mass power plant at Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh. Commercial production of the plant has been started from the Financial year 2001-2002. Our Bio-Mass plant was among the first in Chhattisgarh. The Plant is successfully operating since inception and is continuing giving tax free profits. The plant has been approved by the United Nations Framework Control of Climate Change (UNFCCC) and generating saleable Carbon Credits.

Process:
Raw material (i.e., rice husk) is collected from farmers and transported to the power plant, where the material is processed and prepared for burning. The biomass is then burned in a boiler or other suitable equipment to generate steam. The steam is used to generate the electricity and sold to the power grid. Biomass is available throughout the year, is cheap, widely available, easy to transport, store and has no environmental hazards.
