As per the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) & Implementation Agreement (IA) executed with the State Government, the company is required to sell 5.00 % of the net power generated through the project to Chhattisgarh State Power Trading Company Limited (CSPTCL) at variable cost. Further, 30% of the net generated power will be supplied to the State Government/ Chhattisgarh State Power Trading Company Limited (CSPTCL) for a period of 20 years at the CSERC tariff. CSPTCL has given the letter of comfort for purchase of 162 MW power and Power Purchase Agreement executed on 5th January 2011. The balance power will be sold in the open market on long term and merchant basis.

Vandana Vidhyut Limited has obtained the Power Trading License (Category III) from Central Electricity Regulatory Commission for trading of power.
